Meeting Role Descriptions

When members are assigned a role, it's important to review the responsibilities before the meeting.

Toastmaster

​of the Day

The toastmaster of the day is the meeting’s director and host. 

 Speaker

Speakers present various styles of speeches.  Club members learn by watching and listening to members.

Evaluator

Evaluators provide verbal and written feedback to speakers, to help them improve.

Quizmaster

It is the quizmaster's job to create questions to test the audience’s listening skills.

Table Topics Master

Table topics master leads the impromptu question and answer segment. 

Ballot Counter 

The ballot counter collects
and tallies votes for the best speakers and
best evaluator.

Ah Grammarian

The Ah-grammarian  listens for filler words, as well as noting grammar use  & vocabulary.

General Evaluator

The general evaluator evaluates all that takes place in the meeting. 

Time Keeper

The timekeeper tracks and signals speaking timelength, helping speakers stay within limit. 

Humorist

At the start of the meeting the humorist will share words of humor, a joke, or a funny story.
