How it works

We meet twice a month. Members improve communication and leadership skills by completing education units, and taking an active part in meeting roles. You will learn how to present, lead, critique, and inspire. Join us and take part!

What is a Toastmasters Meeting like?

Prepared Speeches

Members present speeches they have written and practiced in advance.

Table Topics

Practice speaking off the cuff! This impromptu speaking segment is great training for thinking on your feet. Members without a meeting role and guests are invited to participate in this segment.

Evaluations

Speakers are assigned an evaluator who listens carefully and presents an oral evaluation. Evaluators discuss what went well, what could be improved, and provide suggestions for refinement.

Meeting Roles

Successful club meetings rely on members to assume meeting roles. Dividing tasks among members makes the club meeting experience more enjoyable for everyone.

Featured Role: Toastmaster of the Day

Education Program

Pathways learning program

Our educational program is flexible and can be tailored to your interests, strengths, and weaknesses. Simple step-through units include multimedia content, that is easy to follow and return to for review. Before and after self-assessments allow you to gauge your success.

Giving Speeches

Each unit culminates in a speech. Giving speeches allows you to respond to what was learned. You will receive feedback on your speech, so you can continue to improve.
